New courier · Lithuania

Do not just start delivering. Start intelligently from your first shift.

The complete newcomer route: check whether you can work, prepare the right documents, choose Wolt, Bolt Food or both, equip yourself, complete your first delivery and measure what the shift actually left you.

Independent guide. We do not collect identity documents and do not decide whether a platform accepts an application. Information checked 8 September 2026.

First: can you apply?

Requirements change. Use this as a preparation checklist and confirm the final list in the official application.

Security: upload identity documents only inside the official Wolt or Bolt application flow. Couriers.lt never asks you to send an ID, residence permit, bank screenshot, password or SMS code.

Your route from zero to the first shift

Step 2

Wolt, Bolt Food or both?

Applications and active work are separate. You can apply to both and decide later how to use them. Wolt's current applicant guide explicitly says an independent contractor may work for other delivery companies. Every accepted task still has to be completed safely and properly.

Step 3

Apply without creating new problems

  1. Choose the correct city and vehicle. They affect availability and requested documents.
  2. Use your own account, phone and email. Never rent or share a courier identity.
  3. Upload documents only to the official platform. Check that names, dates and account details match.
  4. Wait for approval before committing to recurring costs. An application is not an active account; the queue can depend on local demand.
  5. Read the agreement. Save your own copy and note where pricing and current operational rules are published.
  6. Get the approved delivery bag. Follow the platform's current gear instructions before the first shift.
Referral codes: campaigns change quickly. Couriers.lt will show a code only when its exact dates, conditions and source are verified. Do not delay a correct application for an unverified bonus.
Step 4

Equipment for a real shift

Required base

Phone and power

Charged phone, reliable data, notifications enabled, charging cable and power bank. Test screen brightness, sound and navigation before going online.

Food safety

Clean thermal bag

Use a bag accepted by the platform and keep hot and cold items separated when required. Do not buy equipment before understanding activation conditions.

Road safety

Visible and weather-ready

Working lights, reflective elements, helmet, rain layer, gloves and water. No order price justifies unsafe riding or driving.

Vehicle choice

Start with total cost

An e-bike can reduce fatigue; a car adds fuel, parking and return-distance costs. Compare the whole shift, not only travel speed.

Rental

Do not rent too early

Confirm account activation, deposit, repair responsibility, battery capacity and cancellation terms before signing a monthly rental.

Backup

Plan for failure

Carry a lock, basic repair kit and emergency contact method. Know how you will finish an accepted delivery if a battery, tyre or phone fails.

Step 5

Your first shift, in the right order

Before online

Check weather, battery, bag, lights, data and platform status. Start in an area you know.

Before accepting

Read only what is visible: pickup, shown route or time, fee and where the delivery appears to end. Floor, weight or access may become clear only later.

At pickup

Park legally, identify yourself, verify the order identifier and keep food secure. Record excessive waiting accurately.

At delivery

Follow visible instructions, protect customer data and contact Support when the address, pin or hand-off cannot be completed safely.

After delivery

Note tips, unusual waiting, access difficulty, unpaid repositioning and any relevant support conversation.

End of shift

Go offline deliberately, check that no task remains active, record expenses and calculate the complete session.

Step 6

Calculate what the whole shift left you

This calculator does not estimate taxes or promise earnings. It turns your own completed shift into comparable figures.

Gross income€42.00
After direct costs€37.00
Gross per hour€10.50
After-cost €/hour€9.25
Gross per km€1.20

“After direct costs” still is not final taxable profit. Tax, depreciation and long-term vehicle costs depend on your situation.

Step 7 · the Couriers.lt difference

Begin with your own evidence, not somebody else's hourly rate

Measure from day one

Keep session start and end, all income, tips, total kilometres, waiting and direct expenses. Your first month should reveal which hours, areas and order types work for you.

Separate facts from conclusions

A screenshot, GPS point or timestamp is a fact. A conclusion about a platform requires more evidence. Couriers.lt is designed around that distinction.

Protect private data

Customer names, exact addresses and access codes are not public courier intelligence. Store only what has a clear purpose and never expose customers to other couriers.

Use patterns, not anecdotes

One excellent or terrible order does not define a strategy. Compare complete, clearly labelled time windows and keep uncertainty visible.

Courier Logger is currently in closed testing. Its goal is to reduce manual recording and bring this shift methodology into the app and web analytics. See the honest product status →
Equipment and services

Find what you need for work — with the commercial relationship visible

Couriers.lt can connect newcomers with bicycle and e-bike rental, repair, delivery bags, safety equipment, insurance and accounting. A paid placement will always be marked as advertising or a partner offer; payment will not turn an unsuitable service into a recommendation.

Rental

Bicycles and e-bikes

Compare deposit, weekly or monthly price, included repairs, battery capacity, replacement vehicle and cancellation terms.

Maintenance

Courier-practical repairs

Find providers by city, opening hours, emergency repair availability and whether they service courier e-bikes.

Business

Accounting and insurance

List services that understand individual courier activity. Personal tax or insurance suitability still has to be checked for the courier's own case.

Provider integrations are being prepared. Until a provider has been checked and the listing rules are published, Couriers.lt will not present it as a verified partner.

Six Lithuanian phrases for the first shift

A few phrases reduce confusion and show respect. Current Wolt Lithuania guidance also points couriers to the Lithuanian-language requirement for direct services.
